Dental Care for Children

Dental care for children

At The Observatory Dental Practice, we know early dental care makes a lifelong difference.

Helping children feel at ease and teaching good habits from the start builds the foundation for healthy, confident smiles.

With regular check-ups and simple daily routines, we can support both your child’s oral health and their confidence about visiting the dentist.

Why start early?

  • Healthier smiles: Brushing and check-ups reduce cavities and gum disease.
  • Positive experiences: Early, reassuring visits help children see dental care as natural, not stressful.
  • Early detection: Regular appointments let us spot and treat issues before they become problems.

When should my child see a dentist?

We’re delighted to welcome patients of all ages. As soon as your child’s first teeth appear, it’s a good time for their first check-up.

During these visits, we’ll recommend the right toothbrush and toothpaste, and show you how to brush effectively.

How often should children visit?

We recommend that children get a check-up every six months. These visits help us track tooth development, offer tailored advice, and catch any concerns early.

Just as importantly, coming to the dentist regularly helps children feel comfortable in the dental chair. Meeting our friendly team, exploring the practice, and having a gentle check all build trust and reduce anxiety.

The Observatory has been carefully designed for optimal comfort and calm serenity for all patients, children and adults alike.

Positive experiences from the very first visit give children the best chance of carrying healthy habits—and bright smiles—into adulthood.

PLANS

Kids Dental Plans

We understand that parents want their children to receive dental care without worry or delay. That’s why every child at The Observatory is enrolled in our monthly Kids Dental Plan.

This ethical approach ensures your child can receive any necessary treatment promptly—without surprise bills—while allowing us to provide high-quality care sustainably.

The plan covers routine and necessary dental care, including:

  • Check-ups and hygiene visits.
  • Fillings, root canals, and crowns.
  • Tooth extractions, including those needed for orthodontic preparation.

Orthodontic treatment itself is not included, but the plan provides peace of mind for all other dental needs. The monthly plan is affordable and focused entirely on your child’s care.
